You may change the date and time of your reservation if you contact us at least seven days before your scheduled time. All major credit cards are accepted.
Private Groups : All of our Escape Room experiences are Private meaning just your team and nobody else:

Currently we only offer the experiences in our Escape Rooms, but downtown Evanston has anything you'd want as far as food, drink and refreshments go. Ask us if you have something particular in mind and we're happy to make any recommendations!.
Yes! Escape Rooms make perfect gifts, and you can purchase a gift certificate to any room from the 'Book An Experience' button at the bottom of our Give a Gift page . You don't need to book an actual time either, just purchase the tickets and we'll send either you or your recipient an email with a code that can be used at checkout, leaving it up to them to book the perfect time. You can also send a dollar amount and let them decide when and on what rooms to use the gift on, but please keep in mind to include an additional $2 per person for service fees to your dollar amount, otherwise your friends will need to pay the service fee when booking their reservation. Email us at info@lockedchicago.com if you have any questions about gifting!
Unfortunately, in the spirit of being courteous and fair to all visitors to our space we must have strict lateness policies.
All visitors must come to the space 15 minutes before their start time. If you arrive late you may still enter the room provided you arrive no later than your start time. Any later and you will risk interrupting players participating in other rooms. If you do show up late you can still participate in your experience but we cannot guarantee the full hour as there are teams arriving after.
With all of this in mind, players MUST arrive 15 minutes before their reserved start time. If you are driving, please come a few minutes earlier to look for parking. Please note we do have a free parking lot in front of our building but depending on the time of day there might not always be spots available.
Lock Chicago will test your mental capabilities and ability to communicate effectively as a team. Doing so under the influence is discouraged, and anyone we determine to be under the influence will be asked to leave and will not be issued a refund. Save it for the celebrations after you hopefully succeed!
All guests MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to their reservation. If you are late you risk being not able to participate as there is necessary prep and introduction time as well as check-in.
All you need to do is bring yourself! We have lockers where you may store bags, purses, phones, etc. in a secure location and they will be waiting for you once you finish. You are permitted to bring your phone into the room only if it is either silenced or on airplane mode. You will also need to sign a waiver before we can let you enter a room.
No - name aside, Lock Chicago aims to take the experience of the traditional Escape Room beyond its original means, which is why our rooms are Challenge Rooms. Doors will never be locked, and we pride ourselves on providing challenges and scenarios that keep end-goals, strategies, and puzzles as different as they can be from room to room. However, if a player needs to leave a room at anytime during their 1 hour, they will not be allowed back into the room.
While there isn't necessarily a restriction, our puzzle rooms are recommended for players above the age of 12. Those under that age can still contribute by uncovering clues and observing patterns; however, they may not be able to comprehend the specific details and puzzles of the room.
All guests will be required to sign a waiver before entering a room, but guests under 18 years of age will also need a parent or legal guardian to sign with them. Guests younger than 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the rooms.
Our rooms were designed with one goal in mind: to provide truly innovative experiences to anyone curious enough to search for them. Our rooms are fully accessible to those who are mobility-challenged. If you require the use of a wheelchair or any walking device you may still fully immerse yourself in the experience of Lock Chicago. Our rooms also do not have any "shock-factor" to them, and they're not designed to be scary, so there's no need to worry about that.
As you will all be in a room for an hour with several people, please make sure you do not endanger one another in your rush to solve these rooms. If you know that this environment will cause problems for you, make sure you are truly prepared before committing to participate. Safety is our number one concern, and we have done everything we can to ensure your safety.
